LESTERVILLE, MO - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson will be in southeast Missouri today to tour the area damaged by the December collapse of Ameren Corporation's Taum Sauk reservoir.

The Republican will begin the tour at 10:30 a.m.  She will look at both the Taum Sauk facility and the Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park, which was badly damaged by the flood of water after the reservoir collapse on December 14.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources yesterday announced it has billed Ameren Corporation nearly $500,000 to pay for the agency's oversight of clean-up efforts resulting from the collapse.
