Northwest Arkansas Police Wrap Up Investigation into Teen Fight Parties

MAY 8, 2006 - Posted at 7:55 a.m. CST

ROGERS, AR - Rogers police say they have ended their investigation into a videotaped party at which teenagers fought in boxing matches and appeared to be drinking alcohol.

A DVD of the event last May showed a half-dozen boxing matches between high school-aged youths, with some of the teenagers battererd severely.  The videos also showed boxing and mud wrestling between young women.

School administrators decided against disciplining Rogers students who appeared in the 20-minute video, parts of which were shown on national television programs.

Rogers police spokesman Kelley Cradduck said police believe they know who provided the alcohol to the teens, but said they don't have evidence to back up those suspicions.  No arrests were made and Cradduck says the case is over.
