MARMADUKE, AR - The state Education Board will require no additional days to be made up by students in the Marmaduke School District, which sustained heavy damage when a tornado struck April 2.
Marmaduke students missed 17 days of school after the tornado struck. When the schools reopened April 26, some students had to attend classes in portable buildings because of damage to the district's permanent buildings.
The board also waived requirements that students take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, and some state end-of-course tests.
