AETN Visits Jonesboro Today

JONESBORO, AR - The Arkansas Educational Television Network will visit Jonesboro today, and will have quite a presence throughout the city for most of the day.

The AETN Commission will meet at noon today at Arkansas State University's College of Communications.  At 11:30 a.m., commissioners will join ASU staffers for an informal luncheon. 

At 2 p.m., AETN will tape this week's version of the network's public affairs program, "Arkansas Week."  The news analysis program will be recorded in the ASU-TV studios.  The program is hosted by by veteran television journalist Steve Barnes.  His guests for this week's taping will be Ann Clemmer, a political science instructor at UALR; Jeff Hankins, publisher of Arkansas Business; Joe Halm, a reporter for the Wynne Progress; and Roy Ockert, news editor for The Jonesboro Sun.  The episode will premiere at 8 p.m. Friday evening, the program's regularly scheduled time slot.

From 4 to 6 p.m., AETN commissioners and staff will host a public reception at the Forrest L. Wood Crowley's Ridge Nature Center.
