11-Year-Old Charged in West Memphis Stabbing Incident

WEST MEMPHIS, AR - An 11-year-old West Memphis youth has been arrested and charged with stabbing a teenager following an altercation Monday evening.

West Memphis police were dispatched to a residence on Autumn street around 7 p.m.  Upon arrival, they found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a knife wound to the chest.  The victim was taken to The Med in Memphis, and is listed in stable condition. 

The suspect allegedly stabbed the teenager with a steak knife, following an altercation between the two.  The suspect told police the teen had been picking on him. 

The names of the victim and suspect are not being released due to their ages.
