LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus' books will get a going-over from the Legislative Audit Division after all.
In March, the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee declined to audit the organization's books, despite a request by state Representative Booker T. Clemons, a Pine Bluff Democrat who is a member of the 15-member caucus.
Legislative Auditor Charles Robinson said Thursday that auditors are now looking into the organization's books, after additional information was brought to their attention.
Robinson said he wants to know how money from the Arkansas Minority Health Commission was spent by the caucus.
