Amazing Rhythm Aces to Take Main Stage at Loose Caboose Festival Tonight

MAY 19, 2006 - Posted at 1:28 p.m. CST

PARAGOULD, AR - The 17th Anniversary Loose Caboose Festival is off and running this weekend "out back by the tracks" in downtown Paragould, and popular 70s and 80s country-rockers The Amazing Rhythm Aces will headline the entertainment stage tonight at the event.

After an opening set by the West Finch Blues Band, the "Aces" will take the stage at approximately 9 p.m.

The Amazing Rhythm Aces recorded their first album thirty years ago in a Memphis studio.  Part country, part rock, part blues and part R&B, the band's music is a "mixed bag of influences that had drawn them together."  The band's signature song, "Third Rate Romance," leads a list of well-known hits that also includes the Grammy-winning "The End is Not in Sight" and "Amazing Grace (Used to Be Her Favorite Song).

Meanwhile, country star Doug Stone will headline the list of entertainers on Saturday at Loose Caboose.

The festival also features a carnival, concessions and other entertainment.
