LITTLE ROCK, AR - Several high-profile Arkansas politicians plan to attend a three-day meeting of the Mississippi Delta Grassroots Caucus, starting Wednesday in Washington.

U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, as well as Congressmen Marion Berry, Mike Ross and Vic Snyder, all Democrats, are all expected to speak.  More than 100 participants are expected.

An entire session Thursday will be devoted to rebuilding the region after Hurricane Katrina.  Other issues include the budget for the Delta Regional Authority, transportation improvements, affordable health care in the Delta, and relief for farmers struggling financially.
