LITTLE ROCK, AR - State Representative Dustin McDaniel of Jonesboro firmly secured a run-off spot in the bid for the Democratic party's nomimation as state attorney general, and now his run-off opponent is courting the candidate that finished third in the race for a possible endorsement.

Saline County prosecutor Robert Herzfeld didn't make the June 13 run-off, but North Little Rock City Attorney Paul Suskie did by finishing second in the polling, and Herzfeld said yesterday that he was discussing with Suskie a possible endorsement.

Meanwhile, state Senator Tim Wooldridge of Paragould is preparing for a run-off with former Clinton administration official Bill Halter to be the Democratic party's nominee for lieutenant governor.
