Berry Appears to be Wealthiest Among Arkansas' Congressional Delegation

LITTLE ROCK, AR - First District Congressman Marion Berry is apparently the wealthiest member of the Arkansas congressional delegation.  In finance reports released yesterday at Washington, Berry reported between $1.98 million and $7.14 million in assets for 2005.

Berry, a Democrat who is a farmer from Gillett, also reported earning between $46,009 and $148,100 in addition to his $162,100 annual salary as a congressman.

Among the other five Arkansas members of Congress, Republican House member John Boozman reported earning between $19,708 and $61,600 in outside income.  He reported assets between $698,010 and $1.55 million, including a profit-sharing plan valued from a half-million to a million dollars.

Senator Blanche Lincoln, a Democrat, reported between $586,016 and $1.52 million in assets and between $26,813 and $67,103 in outside income.

Senator Mark Pryor, a Democrat, reported under $1,500 in outside income and between $7,007 and $120,000 in assets.
