Crossett Lawmaker to Head Up State's Non-Profit Highway Group

JUNE 15, 2006 - Posted at 8:01 a.m. CST

LITTLE ROCK, AR - State Representative Johnnie Bolin of Crossett, who leaves the Legislature at the end of the year, has been hired as the new executive director of the Arkansas Good Roads-Transportation Council.

The group announced the hiring of the 63-year-old Bolin yesterday to replace Ernest Faucett, who had served as the council's part-time executive director while also serving as president.  Before Faucett, John T. Suskie held the executive director position.

The nonprofit group promotes improved highways and transportation facilities.  Bolin, who served as chairman of the Arkansas Public Transportation Committee, is term-limited from returning to the House.
