Northwest Arkansas to Host Hillary Clinton Fundraiser

JUNE 28, 2006 - Posted at 4:39 p.m. CST

ROGERS, AR - Former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is seeking re-election to her U.S. Senate seat in New York, will return to Arkansas in July to speak to a Democratic women's group and attend a fundraiser for her.

Clinton, the wife of former President and Arkansas governor Bill Clinton, is to speak at a July 15 luncheon of the Arkansas Federation of Democratic Women state convention.  The event will be at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers.

The federation also will have a fundraising reception for the senator prior to the 12:30 p.m. luncheon.  The luncheon is open to the public.  Tickets are $100 each.  Fifty tickets are available for the fundraiser, at $500 each.

Clinton is considered a potential contender in the 2008 presidential race, but she has repeatedly said she is not thinking ahead to the 2008 presidential race.
