PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH - The Missouri-based hotelier that recently pulled his plans to build a new hotel and convention center in Jonesboro has now announced similar plans for a Utah community.
John Q. Hammons this morning announced plans to develop a 10-story, 300-suite Embassy Suites hotel and adjoining 100,000-square-foot convention center in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The project will mark Hammons' first development in Utah.
In April, Hammons scrapped similar plans for a proposed project in Jonesboro, claiming that members of the Jonesboro City Council did not fully support the project.
