Former New York Mayor Stumps for Hutchinson in Arkansas

JULY 11, 2006 - Posted at 3:13 p.m. CDT

CONWAY, AR - Speaking to students of Arkansas Governor's School, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said the country cannot absolutely prevent another terrorist attack on U.S. soil.  Giuliani said he thinks the country is going to be attacked in the future.

Giuliani was mayor during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.  He spoke to the Arkansas students after attending a fundraiser in Little Rock for Republican gubernatorial nominee Asa Hutchinson.  About 100 people attended the $500 per person fundraiser.

Giuliani is considered a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2008.  He also was scheduled to campaign today on behalf of Republicans in Pennsylvania and Illinois.
