Emerson and Talent to Outline Border Security Plan in Poplar Bluff

POPLAR BLUFF, MO - U.S. Senator Jim Talent (R) and southeast Missouri Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson (R) will outline their plan to secure America's borders during a news conference tomorrow afternoon in Poplar Bluff.

Talent and Emerson will also present Joe Humphrey, Presiding Commissioner for Butler County, with an American flag during the news conference, which will be held at the Butler County Courthouse, beginning at 1 p.m.

Talent will discuss his bi-partisan plan to secure America's borders with additional manpower, new barriers and high-tech surveillance equipment.  Emerson, a member of the House Subcommittee on Homeland Security Appropriations, has supported several efforts to boost U.S. border security.
