Paragould Radiologist is Highest Bidder on City Mausoleum Vaults

JULY 25, 2006 - Posted at 7:40 a.m. CDT

PARAGOULD, AR - A Paragould radiologist made the winning bid of $3,100 to claim two crypts at the city's historic Linwood Cemetery.  That's according to the Paragould City Beautiful Commission.

Dr. Don Purcell said he's happy to know where his final resting place will be, but that neither he nor his wife are anxious to use the crypts.  Purcell is 79 years old.

The Paragould City Beautiful Commission auctioned the crypts at the cemetery's mausoleum to raise money to fund improvements at the cemetery.
