According to an Arkansas State Police accident report, 44-year-old Butch Blevens was killed in an apparent effort to keep his motorcycle from colliding with a truck at the intersection of Washington Avenue and the U.S. 63 Bypass.  Blevens was southbound on 63 on his 2004 Honda, when he encountered an 18-wheeler traveling north in the southbound lane.  Blevens then laid his bike down on the pavement in order to avoid colliding with the truck.
