CAMDEN, AR - Camden police say a 4-year-old boy has been removed from his home after hospital workers discovered cocaine in the child's bloodstream. The boy's mother was also arrested after her husband was stabbed with scissors.
Emergency workers were called to the home of 49-year-old Barbara Childs with a report of a child having seizures. A police report said the emergency workers called police because the child's father had a stab wound. The report said the boy was hospitalized and tested positive for cocaine.
Childs was arrested on a third-degree domestic battery charge for the stabbing and an investigation is under way by the state. The boy was placed in the custody of the Arkansas Department of Health and Human Services.
