LITTLE ROCK, AR - With former President Bill Clinton turning 60 on August 19, the presidential library in Little Rock, the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton School of Public Service are collaborating on a birthday celebration.
Admission to the library will be free that day. CafDe 42 at the library will serve Clinton's favorite food and heart-healthy menu items throughout the week leading up to the birthday, and choral groups will be singing in the lobby of the library on his birthday.
The Clinton Museum Store will sell limited edition T-shirts featuring a picture of a three-year-old Bill Clinton and his birthday cake. A giant birthday card will be drawn on the sidewalk outside the store for shoppers to sign. And the store will have drawings for gifts.
In addition, a symposium focusing on the life of the 42nd president will be held, and Friends of Bill will be part of a panel discussion. As part of the symposium, there will be barbeque from McClard's in Hot Springs, the president's favorite barbeque restaurant when he was growing up in the spa city. And there will be birthday cake.
Tickets to the symposium cost $15. That covers lunch and dessert.
