Police Investigating Eight Armed Robberies in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, AR - Eight armed robberies in Magnolia are keeping police busy.

Five have occured since January 5, and two business owners were shot and wounded in robberies this year.  The owner of the only Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in town was shot during a July 15 robbery.  On July 27, a McDonalds employee was robbed while making the restaurant's night bank deposit.  And this weekend, two robberies occured, one at Buzz Buy convenience store, the other at Chick-A-Dilly.

The stores were robbed by different people, and the robbers in both instances made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
