NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - The 90th Regional Readiness Command at Camp Robinson says it is readying for the hurricane season.

Arkansas National Guard members last year helped with security in the emergency response to the Gulf Coast hurricanes that killed hundreds of people and left thousands homeless.  At the headquarters in North Little Rock, the 90th Regional Readiness Command has set aside emergency equipment.  Sixty-one Army Reserve units are providing equipment or vehicles to help if necessary.  The equipment and vehicles are being brought to Fort Polk, Louisiana, or Fort Sam Houston in Texas.  They will be returned to the 61 units on the end of the hurricane season, November 30.

In addition, subordinate units from Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas have been told to provide equipment, vehicles and personnel in case of a hurricane this year.
