Jonesboro City Council to Get Recommendations Today on Several Drainage Issues

JONESBORO, AR - Jonesboro aldermen on the City Council's Public Works Committee are to meet with consulting engineers today to hear recommendations to solve several drainage and flooding problems throughout the city.

Consultants are expected to present potential remedies for The Pines Apartments on North Caraway Road; Farm Creek Estates; Wilkins and Nettleton Avenues; the Oak, Haltom and Kitchen street neighborhoods; West Monroe Avenue; Huntington Avenue and Chestnutt Streets; and the 1700 block of West Warner Avenue.

The full Council will meet in regular session tonight at 6:30 p.m., following the 2 p.m. meeting of the Public Works Committee.
