Plane Goes Down in Bootheel

CAMPBELL, MO - The Dunklin County Sheriff's Department is investigating a plane crash this afternoon near Campbell.

Sources tell K8 News that a small plane went down in a soybean field along Highway AB, north of Campbell.

A dispatcher at the Sheriff's Department confirmed that deputies are at the scene investigating a reported crash.

UPDATE: A dispatcher with the Missouri Highway Patrol says the plane is a cropduster, and the pilot escaped injury.
