JONESBORO, AR -- It was a celebration of a different kind in Jonesboro Friday night. The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus was in town at the ASU Convocation Center for the first of six spectacular performances.
It's the magic of the big top...the lights, the fireworks and the clowns of the circus! And for the youngest of audience members, it's a show like no other....
"I like the trapeze because it's where people swing on wires," laughed five-and-half-year-old Andy Milligan as he sat with his mother watching the show.
"I think the best part is the elephants and the acrobats," said eight-year-old Katie Barger while she waited for popcorn.
"I like elephants!" yelled four-year-old Addy Christian Harris.
But don't forget the best part of the circus...the snacks!
"I like cotton candy here, it my favorite thing here," said an almost three-year-old Lexus Brock.
And for the big brothers and sisters...it's a good place to take the younger ones.
"She hadn't seen all the animals and stuff and it's a good experience for her," said Sarah Ellis as she escorted her younger cousin around.
But as for a career choice...not so fast for some of these kids.
"I don't want to join the circus because you have to wear those costumes and stuff!" exclaimed six-year-old Breanne Barger.
