7-Year-Old Gets His Dream Fulfilled

August 19, 2006 -- 9:00 PM CDT

WALNUT RIDGE, AR -- Seven-year-old Dakota Bailey has had kidney disease since he was one year old, and Saturday, some Region 8 bikers got together to fulfill Little Dakota's dream...riding a motorcycle.

About 50 bikers went to Dakota's home...leaving him and his parents speechless.

"He's excited," said Elizabeth Bailey, Dakota's mother.  "He has been up since 8 a.m. looking for a few bikes.  We never dreamed this would happen," she said.

The Baileys' lawn was surrounded with motorcycles, and Little Dakota chose which bike he wanted to ride, while his mother sincerely expressed her appreciation.

"I'm in shock," she said.  "I feel wonderful for these people who have made my son's day."

It was a day that Little Dakota will never forget, as he lived his dream on the back of a bike.
