LITTLE ROCK, AR - Internet child predators and traffickers in child pornography in Arkansas will be targeted in a new cooperative effort among local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.  That announcement came today from U.S. Attorney Bud Cummins of Little Rock and representatives of ten agencies who met with Cummins this morning at his office.

Cummins said a lot of good work is already being done by many of the agencies involved in what he calls Project Safe Childhood.  He said the new program would try to multiply investigation and prosecution of anti-child activities through cooperation.

Agencies represented at the meeting this morning were the FBI, U.S. Customs and Immigration, Arkansas State Police, the Arkansas Attorney General's Office, Little Rock Police Department, North Little Rock Police Department, Pulaski County Prosecutor's Office, Saline County Prosecutor's Office, and the Arkansas Crime Information Center.
