HEBER SPRINGS, AR - A plant at Heber Springs where 250 workers make aluminum wheels for cars and trucks is to be sold to an investor group headed by a pair of executives at the Ohio company that owns the facility.
Defiance Metal Products, based at Defiance, Ohio, southwest of Toledo, announced the sale yesterday. The company said its Heber Springs plant would be sold to a group headed by the company's chief operations officer and chief financial officer.
No price was disclosed.
Defiance chief operations officer Dennis Weaver said no change in management of the plant was anticipated.
