Man Robs Downtown Jonesboro Bank This Afternoon

JONESBORO, AR - Jonesboro police have captured a man accused of robbing a Jonesboro bank early this afternoon.

According to JPD sergeant Steve McDaniel, a white male identified as 51-year-old Lloyd Ford entered the Region's Bank main branch at 300 South Church Street at approximately 12:15 p.m., walked to a teller's window and said "This is a robbery."  He left the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of money.

Witnesses led police to a nearby attorney's office in the 300 block of South Church, where the suspect was arrested.

The incident remains under investigation by the JPD, as well as the FBI.
