Greene County Fair

SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 -- POSTED AT 10:30 P.M. CDT

GREENE COUNTY, AR -- The Greene County Fair is full of rides, crafts, games, good food, music, and loads of fun.

"Well, the fair is really great for Greene County because it brings a lot of people together and a lot of people can come to visit and have a good time. It's good fellowship for a lot of kids and a lot parents and it's just good to have in town," says two Greene County residents.

And of course, the rides are always a hit.

"I like the adventure and how high you get and how it feels when you get really high and you spin around and you get real dizzy and you throw up," says a group of teenagers riding the rides.

Why that might not be everyone's idea of fun, there's always plenty of favorites to choose from at the fair. For years, the demolition derby has brought a huge crowd to the fair and this year was no exception.

"I like them crashing. I like them running into the walls and stuff, flipping over, catching on fire," says three young boys about the ever popular demolition derby.

With all the fair has to offer, it would be almost impossible not to have a good time.
