Pick-Up Crashes into Downtown Building

JONESBORO, AR - K8 News has learned that a pick-up truck has crashed into a building in downtown Jonesboro.

The accident occured shortly before 11 a.m. at the corner of Union Avenue and Jefferson Avenue.  The building houses the First Baptist Church's Student Ministries program.

No injuries are reported at this time.  However, the truck's driver is in police custody at this time and several witnesses are being questioned.

The incident comes one week to the day after a pick-up crashed into the Hardee's restaurant in Newport, killing two people and injuring five others.

UPDATE: The driver of the truck has been identified as Mitchell White.  He faces charges of DUI (drugs).
