The bodies of 65 men who had been tortured, then shot, were found dumped around Baghdad and south of the capital.

Also in Baghdad, car bombs and mortor attacks killed more than 30 people.

The deadliest bombing occured near the main headquarters of Baghdad's traffic police department.  At least two of the 19 people killed were traffic police officers.
