Grisham to Return to Blytheville to Promote New Book

SEPTEMBER 14, 2006 - Posted at 11:35 a.m. CDT

BLYTHEVILLE, AR - Best selling novelist John Grisham will once again return to his northeast Arkansas roots this fall.

On October 24, Grisham will make another appearance in Blytheville, to introduce his newest book, The Innocent Man.

The Black Oak native's appearance will be part of a special event at the Ritz Civic Center in downtown Blytheville.

On September 14, That Bookstore in Blytheville will begin taking orders for the book.  The public may also buy tickets for the event for a $5 donation to the "Books for Babies" endowment at the Mississippi County Community Foundation.  The tickets hold a reserved seat and may be picked up at the Ritz box office beginning at 6 p.m. on October 24.  At the conclusion of the event, the bookstore (316 W. Main), which is located just down the street from The Ritz, will re-open and customers who ordered books may pick them up there.  Similar to Grisham's recent books, this visit will be "signature only," as there will be no opportunities for personalization.
