AG Candidates Debate over Veterans and Military Proposals

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Republican attorney general candidate Gunner DeLay today questioned Democratic rival Dustin McDaniel's support of veterans and cited three votes McDaniel missed on military issues in the Legislature.

McDaniel responded at a news conference where he was joined by former and current military members.  McDaniel touted his support of 15 other veteran's bills and demanded an apology from DeLay, who he accused of questioning his patriotism.

DeLay, a former state senator from Fort Smith, criticized McDaniel as he announced a set of proposals he said would help veterans, including establishing a toll-free number for veterans to ask questions about state and federal benefits.
