Activity Intensifies Around Stolen Baby's Home

SEPTEMBER 19, 2006 - Posted at 3:32 p.m. CDT

UNION, MO - Authorities are intensifying the search around the home of Stephanie Ochsenbine, blocking off highways leading to the rural home where the young mother says she was attacked and her baby stolen.

This afternoon, a helicopter circled above the home and search dogs have been brought in.  And STLToday.com, the Web site for the St. Louis Post Dispatch, reports divers from the Missouri Water Patrol search a small manmade lake not far from the home.

A property owner says the FBI has asked to search homes he owns nearby.

The abduction occured Friday when a woman reportedly entered the home, stabbed Ochsenbine, and took the baby.
