Pocahontas Sees High Winds, Damage

POCAHONTAS, AR - A police dispatcher in Pocahontas says no tornado has been confirmed on the ground.  But there were three reported funnel cloud sightings and 60-mile-per-hour winds have raked through the area.

Pocahontas police dispatch says trees are down and there is a power outage at Maynard.

The National Weather Service says golf ball size hail has been reported in Randolph and Sharp counties.  Trees are reported down in Randolph County and near Ash Flat in Sharp County.

K8 News has had reports of at least two tornado touchdowns near the Clay and Greene county lines, between Marmaduke and Rector. 

A tornado warning extends into Clay County.

Further west, tornado warnings were posted for Boone and Newton counties.
