Body of Missing Fireman Found in Spring River

HARDY, AR - Search and rescue workers in Sharp County have found the body of a retired Trumann firefighter that went missing Saturday morning.

A cadaver dog team from the Shelby County (TN) Sheriff's Department alerted on the body in the Spring River around noon, north of Hardy.  Rescue workers were able to pull the body from relatively shallow water with no problem.

Jackie Richardson, 55, was swept away Saturday morning when the river overflowed its banks near the River Bend Park campground at Hardy.
