NEA Clinic to Build Large Office Complex in Jonesboro

SEPTEMBER 29, 2006 - Posted at 4:38 p.m. CDT

JONESBORO, AR - Jonesboro's reputation as a medical hub for northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri will apparently continue to grow.  NEA Clinic announced this afternoon that it will soon break ground on the largest medical office building in northeast Arkansas.

Property on south Stadium Boulevard near the NEA Medical Center hospital will be the site of a 120,000-square-foot building that will "consolidate over fifty NEA Clinic physicians practicing in more than twenty specialties into a state-of-the-art medical complex."

Construction is expected to begin late this year or early next year.

"This one-stop or 'integrated' approach to providing comprehensive medical care is the foundation of NEA's multi-specialty group practice," said Jim Boswell, CEO.

NEA Clinic was founded in Jonesboro in 1977.  The company currently operates medical clinics in Jonesboro, Lake City, Trumann, Osceola and Blytheville, with plans to open a new facility in Cherokee Village soon.
