ST. JOSEPH, MO - The National Military Heritage Museum in St. Joseph is looking to raise some money while also getting rid of unnecessary items.

The museum relies mainly on donations, membership dues and grants for its operations.  But this weekend, it held a garage sale.

Museum Director Frank Flesher says the sale was to raise money for new flooring for the research library.

The sale included old items the museum doesn't need anymore, and makes space for other exhibits.  It also included donations like children's clothing and dishes.
