Arkansas Congressional Delegation Shocked by Foley Accusations

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Members of Arkansas' congressional delegation expressed shock and anger over allegations that a former Florida representative sent sexually suggestive messages to young pages while in office.

And the anger with Republican Mark Foley wasn't limited to Democrats.  A spokesman for Arkansas Republican Representative John Boozman says if Foley hadn't resigned last week, members of Congress "were going to throw him out."

Democrat Senator Blanche Lincoln described actions by Foley as "appalling" and "revolting."  Lincoln called Foley's actions "the height of hypocrisy."  Foley had made a national reputation of his legislative efforts against sexual predators.

Democrat Representatives Marion Berry and Mike Ross both called for federal investigations into Foley's actions.
