LITTLE ROCK, AR - An interim director has been named to head the state agency that handles child neglect and abuse cases, foster care, and adoption services. The director and longtime state employee, Roy Kindle, is retiring in November as head of the Children and Family Services Division. Pat Page will stand in as interim director until a new head administrator can be named. Page is assistant director of legislative analysis, research and planning.
Kindle said his doctor had advised him to retire to reduce stress. The 60-year-old Kindle said he would like to watch. He has worked for the state for 30 years and has been director of the division since 2000.
