Hino Motors to Host Grand Opening for New Marion Plant Next Week

MARION, AR - Officials with Japan-based Hino Motors will be in northeast Arkansas next week to host the formal grand opening of the company's new auto parts plant in Marion.

The event is set for 10 a.m. on Tuesday.  The 400,000-square foot manufacturing plant is expected to employ approximately 300 workers in its first year of operation, with the capacity to hire more workers later.  The company will produce parts and components for Toyota vehicles.

Senator Blanche Lincoln is expected to be among the dignitaries on hand for the event.
