Missouri's Gasoline Prices are Lowest in U.S.

ST. LOUIS, MO - The latest gasoline price survey shows Missouri with the lowest average cost in the nation.

AAA says Missouri's average price is $2.05 per gallon, compared to the national average of $2.26.  Gasoline is being sold for $1.90 per gallon in some parts of Missouri.

The average in Kansas City and Springfield is $1.99 per gallon, and in St. Louis it's $2.10.

Just over a year ago Missouri prices averaged more than $3 per gallon.

The Kansas average is $2.15 per gallon and in Illinois it's $2.28.

The nation's most expensive gas price is just over $3.00 per gallon in Hawaii.
