COTTER, AR - The Cotter police chief has resigned rather than take a drug test.

Mayor Mo Mosley says Chief Joe Robison was hired on April 17 and that he quit after talking to his lawyer when asked to take the drug test.

Mosley says he has requested that the Baxter County Sheriff's Department and Gassville police provide law enforcement until Robison is replaced.  The city is down to one police officer.
