NEW YORK, NY - Broadcast reports say a small aircraft has crashed into a building in New York City.

The building is described as a high-rise on Manhattan's upper east side.  Video from the scene shows at least three apartments in the high-rise fully engulfed in flames.

There's no word yet on any deaths or injuries.  There are conflicting reports on whether the aircraft was a small plane or a helicopter.  A Fire Department spokeswoman says an aircraft struck the 20th floor of a building on East 72nd Street.  Witnesses say the crash caused a loud noise, and that burning and falling debris could be seen.
