Jonesboro Chamber to Host Forum for City Council Candidates

JONESBORO, AR - The Governmental Affairs Committee of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a forum for candidates running for City Council on Monday evening (Oct. 16).

Chamber Executive Vice President Cari White says all candidates have accepted invitations to participate in the event.  The platform will offer three minutes for each candidate's opening remarks, and two minutes to answer the question "What do you perceive to be the most important issue facing our city and how would you address it?"  Questions will also be taken from the audience.

Committee chairperson Beverly McCollum will serve as moderator for the event, which is set for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chamber headquarters at 1709 East Nettleton Avenue in Jonesboro.
