Task Force Says Arkansas Police Should Listen, Not Profile

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas Task Force on racial profiling concluded at a meeting today that, as more Hispanics move to Arkansas, police need to be able to talk with those residents, not target them.

Members of the task force were named by Governor Huckabee.  The panel includes law enforcement officers, academics and lawyers.

The group says the state needs to take steps to ensure Hispanics and members of other ethnic groups are not treated unfairly when encountering police.
