Sharp County Plans Pipeline Feasibility Study

OCTOBER 26, 2006 - Posted at 3:54 p.m. CDT

ASH FLAT, AR - Sharp County Judge Joe Stidman says the Sharp County Quorum Court has authoritized a natural gas pipeline feasibility study.

A U.S. Department of Agriculture grant through the Delta Regional Authority funded the study.  As part of the study, 2,000 randomly selected Sharp County residents will receive a five-question survey in the mail.  The purpose of the survey is to identify interest in, and the feasibility of extending natural gas from Cave City to Hardy.

Questions about the survey may be answered by calling Judge Stidman's office at 870-994-7338.
