Reward Being Offered in 52-Year-Old SeMo Murder Case

DELTA, MO - Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Sergeant Eric Friedrich knows time is running out in his effort to find out who killed 20-year-old school teacher Bonnie Huffman.

After all, the crime happened 52 years ago.

For several years, Friedrich has been pouring over evidence, facts and statements from the case.  Huffman, of the southeast Missouri town Delta, was reported missing July 3, 1954.  Her body was found north of town two days later.

Now, relatives of the victim are offering a new reward amid fading hopes of an arrest or at least closure.

Even a half-century after the crime, police as recently as two years ago received an anonymous letter containing details of the night Huffman went missing.
