LITTLE ROCK, AR - Plans to build a Korean War Memorial at a city park in Little Rock are going forward.  Suhor Industries has been hired to design and build the memorial at McArthur Park.  The memorial will include a plaza and statues and will bear the names of the 461 Arkansans killed in the war.

One of the statues will be of a black soldier - to symbolize the end of racial segregation in the U.S. Armed Forces, a result of the war.  Plans also call for a map of Korea and a display explaining the history of the conflict.
