BLYTHEVILLE, AR -- Several familiar faces were campaigning for the Democratic Party all across the state today.

With only days now until Election Day, the campaigns are in full swing. It was a full house Tuesday night at the Mississippi County Democratic Campaign Headquarters. Congressman Marion Berry and Attorney General Mike Beebe were among many politicians in the crowd. Berry is re-seeking his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives and Beebe is the democratic nominee for Arkansas Governor. Another familiar face campaigning for the Democratic Party was former N.A.T.O. Commander, General Wesley Clark.

As expected, many candidates running for office campaigned for their party, but the main purpose they say was to encourage supporters to get out to the polls and vote.

"I spoke to some of my friends in the army today who are in route to Iraq this weekend. They're over there fighting and some of them losing their lives so that we have the freedom in this country to vote. I hope every American and every Arkansan will vote," says General Wesley Clark.

The event in Blytheville wrapped up a day-long tour for General Clark. He, Beebe and Berry also made stops in Helena/West Helena, Marianna, Forrest City and West Memphis.
